“When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, Let it Be. And in my hour of darkness, she is standing right in front of me, speaking words of wisdom, Let it Be.” – The Beatles
Sometimes we hurt. There are times when we are able to mask the pain, keep a smile on our face and go about our daily lives as though nothing is wrong. But then there are those other times when we can’t even lie to ourselves.
Where we are hit with something so difficult and unavoidable, it takes every ounce of energy to just hold on, and not get swept away with the pain. Those times when we can’t see our way out. We are stilted. Feel stuck. Completely lost. We’ve all been there. But no matter the pain, there is always a golden gift at the end of the murky tunnel, if we allow ourselves to see it.
These past few months have been some of the most challenging for myself, where the oldest hurts and patterns were forced to the surface; needing to be released.
In these moments, when the pain is so great, we question everything about ourselves, and doubt what truly matters in our lives. We lose hope. We feel anger at the world for punishing us. We feel sorry for ourselves for being in this place again. We become victims of our own story. And we feel incredibly alone. But we are most certainly not alone.
When we get to this place, it’s important to stay aware and see ourselves clearly. The only way out, is in. Allow your feelings room to breathe, so they may be released. Shutting down your feelings is no different than shaming yourself for feeling them.
However, staying in a place of victim consciousness for extended periods of time, though it may feel safe, is not actually serving your growth or expansion either. By being completely honest with yourself in the situation, even if the truth hurts, is exactly how you reclaim your Power and move forward.
We’ve all learned over the years that no matter how horrible things may appear today, in a nearby tomorrow, these wounds will eventually be a distant and grateful memory. And something greater has since come along. When you understand your pathway, you will see how perfectly everything has played out.
Every experience and encounter has the potential for growth. Life lessons are triggered through many different ways including romantic relationships, friendships, work/career relations, family dynamics etc, so it’s important to know when you are smack dab in the middle of one, and see the bigger picture.
As my mother says, “Sometimes growth hurts a little, and sometimes growth hurts a lot.” Chances are, when you are in your darkest hour, you are about to break through into the light. You are being given the opportunity to transform into a magnificent new expression of yourself.
A Harvard study shows that when 99% of people reach the point of 99% of completion on any project, any goal or life lesson, this is exactly when they reach the point of MOST resistance. All the fears, doubts, sadness and old programs suddenly rise up to stop them from carrying forward and they give up.
Remember this next time you want to throw in the towel. Have faith. Trudge on. And don’t give up on yourself or your dreams.
One of my greatest life lessons is to Trust. It’s easy to have faith when everything is moving perfectly, but the true test is to keep the faith when all hope feels lost. And so I was given one of those experiences to test my Trust. To really ensure it wasn’t just talk. And as difficult as it felt at the time, gratefully, from this recent place of great sadness and doubt, has manifested within me the most relieving sense of Hope. I was shown that I am absolutely always okay, no matter what.
When you watch a baby, their innocent eyes and hopeful smiles; they are filled with Trust. They never worry that their parent will drop them. There is no doubt in their minds that they would ever fall.
It is the same thing with our Higher Selves; the ever wise divine part of ourselves. In some ways, we are all still children, assuming we know what is best for us, when truthfully, we’re being guided by our Higher Selves.
Imagine us. Babies driving cars. Babies wearing suits. Babies running Governments. It’s quite ridiculous if you picture it. We may be adults, but we are all still big babies, on this amazing journey called Human Life. And even once our bodies stop growing, we have in no way reached the end of the growing pains. The true transformation has only just begun.
When the inner awareness begins to open up and we realize the vastness of life and all its possibilities, we begin to see things more clearly.
Letting go of control and allowing our Higher Selves to guide us, will bring much relief. No more struggle. No more going against the grain. No more forcing. Just allowing things to flow.
There are no mistakes in Life. Everything is divinely timed and carrying with it a huge gift should you choose to unwrap it. Every moment and each experience offers us the chance for greater awareness within, and immense transformation.
We rarely allow ourselves the Life we Dream about. We may desire it. We may hope for it. But when it comes down to receiving it, we haven’t got a clue how to make it happen. And because we can’t see HOW, we feel confused, give up, or search for some confirmation that we will be okay.
Just Trust. Create your Intention. And leave the How up to the Universe.
Over a year ago, I went on a Pilgrimage to the Divine Feminine in Mexico City, to do what many do each and every year; witness and give prayers to the Divine Portrait of Mother Mary. Growing up, I didn’t have a conscious connection to Mother Mary. I was spiritual but wasn’t religious, so I didn’t see how she related to me. But like all Ascended Masters, Mother Mary is non-denominational, and her unconditional love is available to everyone and anyone, which is something I learned that day when I felt the magnitude of her love in the room.
Post pilgrimage, I returned home and carried on with my life. But ever since that day, any time I’ve felt myself in my own times of trouble, Mother Mary has truly come to me, letting me know to “Trust and Let it Be”, and it always surprises me in the most profound ways. Right when I’m about to lose a little faith, she’s there.
Just a few weeks ago, I literally felt her arms wrap around me in the tightest, most loving embrace; her warm cloak enveloping me. It changed the vibration in the room and I was not the only one to witness this magnificent experience. As always, I am deeply humbled by her unwavering support.
To me, Mother Mary is also the divine portrait of Trust. Putting our faith in ourselves, in our lives, and in the limitless support available to us on the other side, is incredibly important. Whether we ask for it, believe it, or are even paying attention to it; it’s always there.
Today, I have a greater willingness to put my cards on the table, release control, surrender every ounce of my being and allow my Heart to guide me. Being an intuitive, it’s the only way to live.
Imagine yourself standing on the edge of the unknown. Close your eyes and release control just for a minute. Drop away any and all expectations. Let your mind clear, and your heart open. Allow all that is no longer serving you to be let go. Bow your head and truly surrender.
Because when you “figuratively” jump, you need to Trust that you won’t fall. And that Trust doesn’t come from the mind. It’s here, high above the world below that miracles happen. When all expectations have been wiped out and all you can do is Trust that there is a bigger master plan for you and you will most definitely be more than okay.
It’s time we all fully connected to our Hearts, opened our minds to the possibilities, believed in our own magnificence, spread our luminescent wings and allowed ourselves to Soar!
Until next time —
In Love & Light,
