When I heard the news of Japan, my heart wept for the devastation. I immediately felt the need to get on my knees and hold my hands to the beating heart of our Divine Mother Earth and pray for her wellbeing and the safety of her children.
As I’m sure many of you did as well, I prayed for the people of Japan, who are being faced with such tragedy. I prayed for our planet, who is experiencing great change and transformation. And above all, I prayed for the human race.
We are at a crossroads, and it is essential that things change. With the countless tragedies increasing within recent years; we are all feeling the aftermath. It’s no longer on the other side of the world and outside of our peripheral vision; it’s everywhere. It’s hitting close to home. For some of us, it is home. We are all energy, and therefore, we are ALL affected energetically.
But with every thorn, there is a rose. And it is in these devastations when the walls figuratively and literally come down around us. When we open our hearts and remember who we are. We pray. We hope. We send love in all forms. We are there for our brothers and sisters.
In times of tragedy, we let go of all that isn’t important. Feuds that once held weight; dissolve. We forget why we were fighting because it ultimately doesn’t matter. What matters is family. Those we Love. We release judgments and prejudices on race, class, sexual orientation, and see that we are all the same. There is only one race, the human race. And our hearts all beat for the same thing; Love.
That which has kept us apart becomes the tie that binds us; separation becomes cooperation, united by a common goal. We are hardwired that way. It’s in our DNA. And that is the beauty of the Human Spirit.
When we fight, argue, or battle each other outwardly, it is no different than waging a war within ourselves. Cancer in the body is a battle between the cells. What we are doing on our planet is the same, just on a much larger scale. Our outer world is a perfect reflection of our inner world, and as the Dalai Lama has so wisely articulated, “We can never obtain peace in the world if we neglect the inner world and don’t make peace with ourselves. World peace must develop out of Inner peace.”
Ironically, we may think that we are separate, and it is only our common dramas and traumas that bond us, but if we truly look outside of ourselves, we will see not a stranger but our own selves reflected back. We are ALL brothers and sisters on this planet, and together, we as humanity, make up the miraculous whole.
This increase in global crisis means that we can no longer carry on, absentmindedly, and then randomly join forces every time there is a tragedy. I believe our dear Mother Earth is urging us to look deeper within ourselves and another, and find that love and compassion for all on a daily basis. It is time for us to step out of our safety bubble and let our hearts lead the way.
Within each and every one of us is a luminescent, timeless, everlasting SPARK that forever shines bright. It is holy in all its glory. It is within you and within me, and it is DIVINE. So open your blinds and let your light shine.
When I think about the gentle spirit of Japan, the song LONG TIME SUN by Will Blunderfield comes to mind. Sometimes music speaks louder than words. I discovered that he has a deep love for Japan, and this particular song has been chosen for YogaFest 2011 in Japan. How kismet. Let the breathtaking melodies and his awe-inspiring voice transcend you, lifting all fear, sadness and worry. Be sure to get to the end, that’s where the magic happens.
Some say I’m a dreamer. I prefer the term, believer. My childlike wonder isn’t that of an idealist, it is my Spirit. And it is in everyone. This is our truth. We are all limitless potential of light and love, with tremendous possibility, and we can really make a difference in this world.
As the revolutionary Peaceful Warrior, Margaret Mead said:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
The video by the Young Artists for Haiti is a compilation of Canadian musicians who came together to raise funds for Haiti and is proof of the power of the Human Spirit. Every time I watch it, I feel this immense pride in humanity. The words may be for Haiti, but the message is Universal.
The Power of Prayer can and will shift vibrations, lift sadness and fear, and create miracles. The following Prayer was channeled to me in honor of Japan. As you say it out loud, feel the vibration of the words resonating out globally and healing us all:
“Divine Mother, Divine Father; I call on you now, to please surround the people of Japan, our Divine Mother Earth, and the entire human race with pure protective white healing light, making us safe from harm, clearing all trauma, shock, pain, sadness and fear from our beings, transforming and transcending it to light. As we join hearts, I ask that your loving, healing embrace continue to protect us and guide us back to a place of faith, hope, trust, divine love and unification. So be it and so it is. Thank you. Namaste.”
My readers stretch the length of the globe, including many in Japan. I’ve chosen this ballad by the masters of Coldplay as an ode to you. I feel the melody captures Japan’s joyful energy and spirit so beautifully. Please know that we are here for you and your Samurai Spirit will without a doubt persevere.
In Divine Healing Love & Light,
